Stop Memorizing. Start Understanding.

Dance of the Channels is an introduction to Unified Acupuncture Theory — a system that unifies Balance Method, Dr. Tan, I-Ching, and traditional distal needling approaches into one coherent logic. Instead of memorizing point sequences, you'll learn the mechanism of action. This changes everything — from how you choose points to how you adjust therapy for your patient's unique case.

🧠

Understanding Instead of Memorization

You don't just learn "what to do" — you learn why it works. You break down distal needling systems into fundamental elements and build your own style on that foundation.

🔗

Channel Interactions in Practice

Holography, entries/exits, indirect effects — it all becomes a tool, not an abstraction. You use it immediately in your clinic.

🎯

Therapeutic Flexibility

Instead of rigid protocols, you build a flexible decision system. You can combine Balance Method with Saam, Japanese schools with I-Ching — without conflicts.

The Problem with Most Distal Needling Trainings

❌ Rigid Protocols

They teach you "what to do" — specific sequences that work, but only when applied exactly as taught. Without understanding the mechanism, you're limited to one method.

✓ UAT — Understanding + Flexibility

Jonathan breaks down systems into fundamental elements and shows you the logic of action. Because of this, you can adjust, combine with your own knowledge, and evolve. You build your own style, not apply someone else's formula.

Jonathan Shubs

Creator of Unified Acupuncture Theory (UAT) — a coherent methodology integrating Balance Method, I-Ching, 5 Elements, Saam, and traditional schools. Jonathan teaches clinicians worldwide how to build flexible decision systems instead of relying on rigid protocols.

Dance of the Channels is the foundational level of UAT — the perfect entry point into the system. You'll learn the mechanisms that you then deepen in advanced workshops.

Specialties: Meridian interactions, distal needling, Balance Method, image thinking.

"Many trainings teach the same thing — Balance Method, Dr. Tan, Distal Needling — all give you a simple system that works if you apply it exactly as taught. The difference with UAT Meridian Interactions? I break down the systems into fundamental elements and show you the logic. You don't just get a system — you understand it. This means you can adjust, combine with your own knowledge, and evolve as a therapist. Without understanding, you're limited. With UAT, you build your own style."

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this course for?

For acupuncturists working with TCM, Saam, Balance Method, or Japanese styles. If you want to understand why distal needling works (not just how), this course is for you. Does not require prior UAT knowledge.

Is this a foundational UAT level?

Yes. Dance of the Channels is UAT Foundations — the perfect entry point into the system. You'll learn the mechanisms that you then deepen in advanced workshops like Level II or I-Ching Advanced.

Will the workshop be recorded?

No. Jonathan prefers live work. But you get complete materials — maps, protocols, checklists — that you can review repeatedly and apply in practice.
